On 5 March 2018, there was held a meeting of the competition commission of the DESPRO Swiss-Ukrainian Decentralisation Support Project in Ukraine regarding the selection of the winner of the competition for selection of a pilot project on financing investment projects for the account of proceeds from placement of local bonds. 

According to the decision made by the competition commission, the following city councils passed the first elimination round: Melitopolska (Zaporizhia Oblast), Bilotserkivska (Kyiv Oblast), Trostianetska (Poltava Oblast), Volochyska and Slavutska (Khmelnytskyi Oblast) city councils. 

The decision on the selection of applications to participate in next rounds of the competition was made subject to the compliance thereof with the terms and conditions of the competition. 

Subsequently, the competition organizers plan to hold additional consultations with representatives of the said city councils regarding the details of their projects. 

The final decision on the selection of the winner will be taken upon completion of such consultations by 1 June 2018.
