Swiss-Ukrainian project DESPRO invites talented young designers and illustrators to take part in the competition on designing the brochure for children of 5 to 7 years old.

 

 

Tentative title: Some information for kids about waste

Volume:              20 pages

Main goal: to form among children of 5 to 7 years old the behavioral cultural related to waste produced by human beings, i.e. to minimize the waste production and to provide so-called second life to it.

 

 

According to experts’ estimations, an ordinary Ukrainian emits about 350 kg of waste annually. Environmentalists estimated that annually in Ukraine because of the irresponsible attitude to the environment appears to 12,000 unauthorized dumps. Due to our environmental culture and attitude towards waste we are sorely lagging behind the developed countries.

 

 

1.      Brief description of art/design concept.

2.      Draft version of the brochure, including, COVER and spread/content (2 pages).

3.      Sketches shall be done in JPEG format.

 

1.      Brochure’s design and illustrations shall go in line with modern standards of children’s literature (may include both illustrations and photos).

2.      Brochure shall contain original elements, which would stimulate a kid for activities, reinforcing child’s knowledge on minimization of negative consequences related to increasing household waste (games). 

·        Both individual and collectives works may be submitted.

·        Deadline for electronic version: 1st June: despro@org.ua

·        Deadline for hard copy: 20th June.

 

Main prize - UAH 1500 + Receipt of Order (Order Value shall be determined separately) + brochure’s publication
2 and 3 places - incentive fee of UAH 500
