Workshop “Establishing the Community of Practice for Service Cooperatives’ Accountants” took place on 7^th November in Bucha. 

 

Workshop was aimed at acquaintance with ethic norms, communication rules and operation of the community of practice, as well as at participants expectations related to cooperation and experience exchange. Trainees had an opportunity to share their expertise, to communicate on the issues related to understanding of accounting standards and tax code, to cooperate on finding solutions that would ensure financial stability and qualitative bookkeeping. 

 

First half of the workshop was conducted by Yuliya Kirsanova, DESPRO expert on accounting issues. She presented the purpose, objectives and ethic norms of the community of practice of accountants to the specialists. Besides, during the first session, the expert answered the questions related to current challenges of service cooperatives.

 

Second session was conducted by Ihor Katernyak, DESPRO expert on distant eLearning (President of Ukrainian distant eLearning system). During the session, the rules and the examples of distant course operation were presented on the platform: https://mx.despro.org.ua/km/ .

 

Web-platform https://mx.despro.org.ua/km/ was developed for training, experience exchange, communication, generation of ideas and finding the solutions. Access to it is authorized, i.e. it does not need login and password.  

 

The course will start on 15^th November 2012.  Курс розпочнеться 15 листопада 2012 року. Its purpose is to acquire competences and skills in the sphere of accounting and taxation related to service cooperatives, workflow and bookkeeping, financial and tax accounting/reporting.

 

The course will consist of 4 modules, which will provide answers to following questions: (1) how to turn a pile of papers into quality streamlining accounting; (2) how to avoid tax risks; (3) how to fill in/complete financial and tax accounting in accordance with the provisions of tax and accounting legislation; (4) how to achieve financial stability.

 

According to Ihor Katernyak words, each trainee shall be ready to spend at least 1 hour a day for training, i.e.: studying the material, fulfilling the tasks, communication in the forums. The evaluation system will operate. According to its results Certificates for successful course completion will be issued. The most active trainees will be invited to final forum in Kyiv.
