DESPRO has presented a series of training modules for deputies of Ukraine

Presentation of civil society resources and international donor organizations “Information Fair 2013” has been launched today in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.  The event was organized by Parliamentary Development Project II Ohio State University in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Duration: two days.

Information Fair is aimed at familiarizing people’s deputies of Ukraine, their assistants, and specialists’ fractions secretariats of parliamentary committees and departments of the Verkhovna Rada , aas well as parliamentary journalists with international technical assistance and resources of Ukrainian NGOs. Members of Parliament, members of different factions and committees can use the presented information and material both for their legislative activities and operation in constituencies.
 
Exhibition "Information Fair - 2013" was attended by 40 organizations, including 17 supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. government, 10 Ukrainian NGOs and 13 representatives of other programs implemented by European organizations and educational institutions.
 
Participants included: Swiss-Ukrainian project "Decentralization Support in Ukraine", which presented some results of its operations, including a series of books entitled "Decentralization and Governance." The series so far consists of 13 books and practical manuals for civil servants and local government. DESPRO plans to further expand the series "Decentralization and Governance", because the demand for such training materials in the country is pretty high.

·         Social mobilization for sustainable local development;
·         Development and project management in the public sphere: European dimension for Ukraine.
