The meeting of the decentralization experts with the journalists from Sumy and Kiev oblast’s took place on April 22, 2015 in the fromat of training organized by DESPRO in Irpin’. 

The “material background” of the decentralization reforms was explained by the renowned experts  in the area – Yu.Hanushchak, director of the Institute of the development of the territories, and expert on state finances S.Marchenko. They presented the highlights of the decentralization of local self-governments, administrative structure, refuting the myths and answering numerous questions from the audience.

“Journalist workshop” was moderated by a popular TV journalist Anna Bezulyk. Hand-on exercises and group work helped, according to the participants in better understanding of the theoretical portion and in transferring of the acquired knowledge into the practical plane.  

Similar media-training, organized by DESPRO, have been already conducted in Kiev, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy, Rivne, Zhytomir, Volyn’, Ternopil and Khmelnitsky oblast’s. Thus the “wave” of the trainings initiated by DESPRO, will cover the whole Ukraine.

 The event was organized to support “Power decentralization” initiative.
