On 30 December, a festive opening and blessing of the water supply system took place in the village of Ozeriany of Tlumach District in Ivano-Frankivsk Region. It became possible to construct the up-to-date system of centralised water supply owing to the substantial assistance from the regional and district authorities and the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Decentralisation Support in Ukraine" DESPRO. 

The symbolic ribbon near the building with the equipment of pumping station was cut by representatives of authorities, the press service of the Regional State Administration informs.

The head of the village of Ozeriany emphasised on the substantial assistance from the authorities and the DESPRO project management considering that the initial cost of materials and services has increased significantly since April 2014 when the implementation of the project commenced in the village. Only additional funding from the budgets of all levels, the Swiss-Ukrainian project, and assistance of agricultural companies made it possible for the residents of Ozeriany to achieve their dream.

The length of the water supply system totals 8.5 km, including 4.6 km of service pipes to each household. The total value of the project is UAH 1,139.85 thousand, including funds of the DESPRO project in the amount of UAH 550.0 thousand, funds of the regional budget in the amount of UAH 180.0 thousand, funds of the district budget - UAH 39.25 thousand, funds of the village council - UAH 18.6 thousand. The village community collected UAH 322.0 thousand. The material support was provided by Shtern AGRO LLC (85.0 thousand UAH), KLN AGRO (UAH 6,500.00), Kosaltima GROUP Private Enterprise (UAH 10.0 thousand), and others (more than UAH 46.0 thousand).

The centralised water supply in Ozeriany will be provided to 101 households; nine households (those are families of participants of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, large families, and low-income families) will be connected to the water supply system on a free of charge basis. Also, the Ozeriansky Educational Complex has been connected to the water supply system on a free of charge basis.

It should be noted that it is the second water supply system in Ivano-Frankivsk Region opened with the assistance of the DESPRO project.
