The IV phase partners of the Swiss-Ukrainian Decentralization Support Project DESPRO - Bilovodsk and Krasnorichensk amalgamated communities of Luhansk oblast - participated in a study visit to Dnipropetrovsk oblast on September, 26th to 27th.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast is partnering with DESPRO since 2014, and communities from this region have a lot to share with colleagues. Combining efforts of the Oblast Council, communities, and DESPRO, 23 water supply projects were realised with overall costs coming up to 21,4 million UAH. In 2018, a new component was launched - capacity building for local public services providers.

The study visit participants met with representatives of Local Self-Government Projects Support Department of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, as well as visited Vakulivske and Novooleksandrivka ATCs. The topics of discussion were committees' work, functioning of public services providers, local strategies, infrastructure projects and communication with the population to provide responsible use of the new water supply and waste management systems.
