The First Seminar of "Local Elections 2020" Series for Women-Leaders will be held on June 17th

Women are a powerful driver of change at the local level!

The DESPRO project is launching a series of online training events "Local Elections 2020: What do candidates need to know to run a successful campaign?", dedicated to developing capacities of women who want to participate in the local elections in 2020.


Participants of the DESPRO network of women leaders of local self-government are invited to study, in particular, study spots are guaranteed to former participants of the trainings "Women-Leaders in Local Self-Government" by the DESPRO project.

The seminars will take place from June to September 2020 and will cover various issues of current legislation, the formation of the campaign headquarters, communication support of the campaign, sociological research in the context of elections, and much more.

The first online seminar on this series on the topic: "Preparing for the election" will be held on June 17 from 11.00-13.30 on Zoom platform.

Seminar speakers:

Olena Boyko - expert of the Swiss-Ukrainian project Decentralization Support Project DESPRO, Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration, PhD student of the Department of Public Administration and Public Service of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, former Member of Parliament Of Ukraine

Volodymyr Wenger is a lawyer, a member of the Center for the Study of the Rule of Law, a senior lecturer and associate professor at the Department of General Theoretical Law and Public Law at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

The topics of the seminar:
- analysis of election legislation;
- passport of the district;
- features of party nomination and self-nomination;
- formation of an election headquarters and a team of like-minded people.
